Most of our guests know a few basic Italian words and phrases.
Many wish they could enhance their time here by being able to speak Italian just a little bit better.
So we’ve got together with our own Italian teacher here in Abruzzo to help you.
And it doesn’t matter whether the only word in the Italian language you know is pasta – or whether, leaving modesty aside, you’re actually quite good.

We decided the very best person to help our Guests was Paola di Diego, who we first met at the Anglo-American Language School in Lanciano, where we went to learn Italian after arriving in Abruzzo in 2007.
A native of Lanciano, Paola has advanced, Cambridge University-backed qualifications to teach languages and now has over ten year’s teaching experience.
In addition to her work at the Anglo-American Language School, Paola also teaches Italian to corporate clients – most recently at the Italian head office of Honda.
Paola speaks excellent English and has a warm, friendly, engaging personality. We can personally vouch for her top-notch abilities as a teacher ! Paola lives in Lanciano with her husband Piero and son Edoardo.
How It All Works…
You won’t want to go on holiday and spend all your time learning Italian, so we’ve come up with a mini-course based on four mornings during a 1-week stay here at Villasfor2.
This’ll allow you to improve your Italian and still have plenty of time for unwinding and relaxing, sightseeing, exploring, shopping and enjoying the local food and drink.
With a course held over four morning sessions, we’ve built-in maximum flexibility to fit in with your arrival/departure days and other holiday plans. We’ll discuss exactly what you’d like to get out of your mini-course and firm-up a schedule that suits you best.
Because each person who’d like to improve their Italian will have different abilities, Paola will design each of the four sessions especially for you. The aim is to provide an enjoyable addition to your Abruzzo holiday. No classrooms, text books or exercises.
Instead, Paola will come to your villa here each morning and lead you through your course at your own pace. It’s the perfect way to learn and speak better Italian quickly.
There’ll be a practical aspect too, with a visit to a local market, shops – and for a coffee – so you can put into practice what you’ve learned !
And so you get maximum benefit, Paola will concentrate on particular aspects of the Italian language that you think will be of most value to you, or which you find most challenging.
Each of our mini-courses will be just for the two of you on holiday together. But if only one would like to take a course, that isn’t a problem and the cost will be adjusted accordingly.
Our mini-courses will run for four hours a morning, over four mornings, and cost €300 per couple. If just one of you wants to take part, the cost will be €250.
