Our grateful thanks to everyone who contributed…
This was our third visit to this fabulous villa and it was every bit as great as before. We decided on a sneaky week in September and were rewarded with fantastic weather, 35+ degrees every day and 40 on a couple. David and Pauline were wonderful hosts as ever and ensured that our stay was wonderful. Whilst their hosting is great, they make the little touches that make a difference. The beers, lemons and other goodies that await the guests add that final touch.
We love this area and for a peaceful holiday amongst wonderful scenery and the lovely Italians this is a place to come. We cannot recommend highly enough and if you are considering coming to Italy, come here !

Our stay here couldn’t have been better. Our villa was comfortable and spacious, the views were amazing and so was the sun terrace and swimming pool!! The local area was great for exploring and there were so many great restaurants close by we were spoilt for choice, would have loved to have stayed longer and will definitely be visiting again. David and Pauline were great hosts and provided all the information we could ever need on the local area – and also a nice selection of local wines 🙂

From our initial contact with Pauline and David, on line, you got the feeling that this place was going to be good holiday. Initial information package with driving route information etc. arrived in plenty of time to become acquainted with what was ahead of us, Upon arrival we had an extremely warm welcome, and the the villa was absolutely spotless and well equipped. The setting is idyllic. All recommended restaurants were book by David, and Gluten Free menus were sorted out, taking all the uncertainty of eating out in another country for a Coeliac. We cannot speak highly enough about the whole holiday. Absolutely excellent !

Villa La Majelletta. 5 Sept 2015
I cannot rate Villasfor2 highly enough. From the moment we booked through to leaving at the end of our holiday everything was perfect.
We wanted the privacy, flexibility and amenities of a villa holiday – difficult to find for just two people . In addition, we wanted to visit ‘real’ Italy. Villasfor2 delivered on both counts. The villas are tasteful, comfortable and have everything you need. The pool is lovely, with an amazing view across the Abruzzo countryside.
Pauline and David are charming, perfect hosts who go above and beyond in terms of help and advice recommending great restaurants, nearby towns to visit and sights to see.
If you’re staying in Abruzzo you couldn’t pick a better place.

David and Pauline could not have been more nice and we had a fantastic stay. Beautiful, serene, quiet location in the midst of an old olive grove, lovely villas and with a superb saltwater pool that is kept spotless. Every aspect of booking, payment and information re. our stay handled in the most professional and efficient way. Would most definitely recommend Villasfor2 to our friends and would love to go back sometime.

We never stay in the same place twice in 2 years. So it must say a great deal about Villas for 2 that we bucked this trend when we stayed there again this year following our trip last August. Once again we were incredibly happy with the location, setup of the villas, the pool and our hosts, David and Pauline.
Abruzzo is not touristy but is well worth a visit. The area is very picturesque and has some lovely towns to visit. The locals are amazingly friendly and willing to help.
Villas for 2 is a great place to kick back and relax and we would heartily recommend a stay there.

Villa La Majelletta, 28 July 2015
We have just spent 2 weeks in the wonderful Villasfor2 in Italy. The villa was superb, well-equipped with everything you needed in a bijou arrangement. The bed on the mezzanine was an added bonus. The setting was just beautiful with nothing but the villas and the swimming pool set amongst beautiful gardens and olive groves. David and Pauline, the hosts couldn’t do enough to help including a short drive around to show the location of the shops and good places to eat. We spent 2 weeks and came away relaxed, refreshed and with a firm intention to return. I cannot recommend this highly enough- this is just for couples only and is a rare gem!

Villa Pesco Falcone. 11 July 2015
Excellent accommodation in a beautiful setting with wonderful views over the Abruzzo countryside from inside the appartment (through the cleverly placed window enabling it to be enjoyed from the comfort of the bed!), from the terrace outside the villa and, best of all, from the beautiful pool.
David & Pauline are brilliant hosts, from David’s initiation drive round to locate the local supermarkets and restaurants, welcoming bottle of wine and various other essential items and loads of information about the area, always with directions on how to find everything to spotlessly clean and comfortable accommodation.
The pool and terrace with loungers and shade umbrellas is a huge bonus and was essential during our stay with temperatures in the high 30s. Being able to cool off in the pool was bliss, as was being able to retreat into the cool accommodation with its efficient air conditioning.
A thoroughly enjoyable holiday – peace & quiet guaranteed……no kids!

Villa La Majelletta, 18 July 2015
Well what can I say that every review has not said before, This is our THIRD stay at Villasfor2 so you could say we like it here. Once again everything was perfect. This place really is as good as all the reviews say. David and Pauline are lovely hosts, always on hand to help. The villa was spotlessly clean as usual and there was a nice cold bottle of house white wine waiting in the fridge upon our arrival. Once again we enjoyed a lovely relaxing holiday, stunning landscapes and great food. We will be back.

Villa Acquaviva. 6 July 2015
We thoroughly recommend Villas for 2. David and Pauline were great hosts. It was very useful to have David’s expert advice on best places to visit, restaurants and shops with detailed travel directions and guide books for when you get there. The accommodation was very clean and well appointed and the air conditioning was wonderful!!. Pool was lovely and clean with salt water and fabulous views over stunning hills and mountains. Garden full of lovely shrubs with butterflies and swallows flitting about. Very convenient location for visiting wonderful local hill top towns and only 30 minutes drive to nearest beaches. Local wine highly recommended!

Villa La Majelletta. 27 June 2015
David & Pauline made us very welcome, especially with our late arrival, and were always on hand should we require anything, especially a bottle of the local wine! The location of the villa is stunning and peaceful, but not too far removed from local amenities, however a car is essential. Acquaviva has everything you need for a lazy poolside break and if you can drag yourself away from it, the local towns are well worth visiting. The beaches are only half an hour away though the sandy one is a complete contrast to the villa with loud music constantly playing, not conducive to reading a novel! The villa itself is well appointed and comfortable, with adequate kitchen facilities should you prefer to eat in. Overall, it’s a lovely place to experience the less well known part of Italy and we hope to visit again.”

Villa Acquaviva. 20 June 2015
We returned to Villa La Majelletta again this year as we enjoyed it so much last year and it didn’t disappoint. We had a truly wonderful two weeks exploring the stunning countryside and small hill top villages which look as thought they are tumbling down the hills. We had some terrific meals in Lanciano and near to the Villa at very reasonable prices as this area is for the Italians and not full of ‘tourist’ establishments. Wonderful walking area if that is your thing. The pool was as good as ever and really appreciated when the temperature rose. David and Pauline, who are wonderful hosts, have thought of everything for your stay even down to towels for the beach as well as for the pool!

Villa La Majelletta. 25 May 2015
This was our second time here and it was reassuring to find all the elements that made our first visit so enjoyable were still in evidence. Spotlessly clean and very well-equipped villa; beautiful surroundings; friendly and welcoming hosts; and an unspoiled region that offers tremendous value. What we hadn’t expected on an early autumn visit was the wonderful weather we enjoyed, with unbroken sun throughout and temperatures in the mid-70s every day. Not unusual, according to our hosts David and Pauline, though perhaps we were lucky to have escaped without a single drop of rain at this time of year ! And above all, it’s so nice to find a holiday rental that caters just for couples. When you can only grab a few days away, it’s perfect to do this and find – as in our case – only one other couple staying here too, rather than families or larger groups. We returned home feeling relaxed and revitalised – and looking forward to our next visit !
Dorothy, Lancashire, England. Villa Pesco Falcone. 8 October 2014
David and Pauline were there to welcome us on our arrival and were extremely helpful, always on hand to provide excellent local knowledge on places to visit (e.g. the roman ruins), where to shop (a good local supermarket and a top rate winery) and places to eat (ask them about the two courses with wine and coffee for 10 euros a head restaurant!).
The villas are neatly arranged and ours was spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed for our stay. The pool is great. Right next to our villa and an olive grove, it was not too warm, so very refreshing when its hot, and with wonderful views over the hills.
Catherine and Michael. London. Villa Acquaviva. 20 September 2014
It’s difficult to be objective when you stay in a place for 10 days and come away completely relaxed and feeling you have made friends with the owners. Anyway, here goes. The location and views are superb. The villa was spotlessly clean, comprehensively fitted out and well supplied. The swimming pool was also maintained to perfection. David & Pauline did everything they could to make us welcome and to allow us to enjoy our holiday. Abruzzo is a fascinating region and apparently undiscovered by Brits (good). We were able to do so many different things, from wandering around almost deserted hill towns, browsing markets, paddling in the Adriatic, walking to the tops of mountains from where you could see for miles, sunbathing, swimming, eating….you get the idea! The ONLY slight downside is that for total peace and tranquility you are at the mercy of the other couples in the two adjoining villas. We were lucky to have good neighbours during our stay and at least there are no children! We would definitely return if we were in the area again.
David and Christine. Hertfordshire. England. Villa Acquaviva. 15 August 2014.
If you are looking for peace, quiet, tranquility then this is for you. A spotless, well equipped little villa with fabulous views, on tap delicious wine and lovely surroundings.
Olive oil, lemons and coffee are supplied as standard and you can concoct some fantastic dishes from the local fresh pasta, cheese and bread together with locally sourced produce from the small supermarket.
Or, eat out for buttons! A folder is provided by your hosts which details many local restaurants that can be visited on speck or a reservation made. A fabulous dinner for two, including wine – €35 or less! If you are an icecream fan, then you MUST visit the shop which is listed in the folder. My husband has eaten icecream all over the world and he maintains this is the best ever! It is also in a lovely little seaside town which provides excellent people watching experiences!
Head for the mountains, sit by the sea, see some history, steep yourself in real Italy – there is plenty to do if you want or, just slonk by the pool and indulge of the view.
The owners, David and Pauline, are friendly and helpful and will happily advise you on any of the local (and not so local) ‘attractions’. They also have a wealth of literature that you can access for information and guidance.
You must be prepared to drive though. The nearest anything – restaurant, supermarket, local shop is a ten minute drive away, however traffic is minimal and the views from the roads are pretty stupendous.
I have no hesitation at all in recommending this lovely spot and we fully intend to return.
Steve and Ruth. Lancashire. England. Villa Acquaviva. 6 August 2014
We have just returned from a two week stay in ‘Villa Majelletta’. It was the most relaxing holiday ever. The villa was perfectly sized and very well equipped to meet all our needs, and was immaculately clean. There was air-conditioning but we did not use it much because the thick walls kept the villa cool anyway. The pool and the views are fabulous. The website and the photos are an honest, accurate and true reflection of where you will stay, with the ‘real’ thing truly surpassing our expectations.
Hosts, David and Pauline, have considered everything to make your stay as relaxing as possible. They are approachable and willing to share their vast knowledge of the area with you, equally they do not impose.
Abruzzo is a delightful area, it is not swarming with tourists and the ‘locals’ are so helpful and pleasant. We do not speak Italian, but this was not a problem. I would whole heartedly recommend this villa and the surrounding area to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing get away. We will be returning !

We spent 4 days at Villasfor2 in July 2014. David & Pauline were wonderful hosts, The villas were very well appointed and the setting was amazing. The views to the mountains have to be seen to be believed! The villas were a great base to explore Abruzzo from the mountains to the Adriatic coastline. We will definitely return one day. Thank you David & Pauline for making our trip to Abruzzo a memorable experience.

If you appreciate spectacular views and expect to stay in high quality, spotlessly clean accommodation then look no further than Villasfor2. Having had many holidays in self-catering accommodation both in France and Italy we can honestly say that this was the best yet – not only for the accommodation, but also the sparklingly clean swimming pool with its surrounding beautiful gardens and the most amazing views over to the mountains in one direction and towards the Adriatic coast in the other. David and Pauline are the perfect hosts, always on hand with help and suggestions of where to go (and the best way to get there!) plus where to eat and lots of other useful advice! Particularly useful is the short trip David initially takes you on so you know where to find all the local amenities like the supermarket, nearest restaurants, the bank etc. We enjoyed days out exploring the mountains, the coast and the hill-top medieval towns and villages with their weekly markets and it seems the Abruzzo region has yet to be discovered by hoards of tourists, which makes you feel like you are experiencing the ‘true Italy’. But we also enjoyed days chilling by the pool, watching the world go by, surrounded by the scents and smells from the flowers and olive groves with just the sounds of the birds and the bees to keep us company. Villasfor2 gets 10 out of 10 from us and we look forward to a return visit.
Jools and Pete. East Sussex. England. Villa Acquaviva. 23 June 2014
This was one of the nicest places we have stayed in. The accommodation was very comfortable and had everything we needed, as well as some welcome but unusual touches such as fresh coffee and home- produced olive oil. David and Pauline are very helpful if you have any questions but also very discreet and unobtrusive. The Abruzzo area has a number of mountain ranges (with snow-covered tops in May) and if you like walking there are plenty of marked paths, many with stunning views, where it is useful to have a walking pole (or two), particularly on the steep descents through glorious beech forests.
Isobel and Peter. Leicestershire. England. Villa Acquaviva. 14 May 2014
Excellent value ! Stayed here 3 nights over Easter and thoroughly enjoyed it. David and Pauline were the perfect hosts. Unobtrusive but always nearby if you needed any assistance. They also provided a wealth of information on the region and things to do, and great restaurant recommendations. The villas are comfortable and appointed with all the necessities that a couple would require for a stay. We loved the view from the bed out through a large square window over the surrounding countryside. Would strongly recommend a stay here.
Kathryn and Nick. London. Villa Pesco Falcone. 18 April 2014
Villasfor2 with your wonderful hosts, Pauline and David in the idealic surrounds of Casoli is a perfect location to unwind, relax and soak up the views. With your hosts local knowledge from their many experiences you will find yourself discovering many varieties of the local and traditional Abruzzo cultures and cuisines.
From the mountains to the sea being a relatively easy short drive.
We would recommend this location for anyone seeking to discover the best value of traditional Italian living.
Michael and Fiona. Brisbane. Australia. Villa Pesco Falcone. 15 February 2014
If you want glorious countryside around you with fabulous views from your Villa and the real Italy with few tourists – look no further. La Majelletta is very well equipped with all you need including essential supplies (tea, coffee, washing up liquid etc) which are topped up if needed during your stay. The pool is excellent with very good sunbeds and is surrounded by glorious flowers and again that view. David and Pauline are charming and attentive hosts, there if you need them but discreet if you don’t.
Bryony and Mike. Cheshire. England. Villa La Majelletta. 28 May 2014
Our early October vacation in Abruzzo was by far the best experience in our thirty years of travel. The gracious and attentive services provided by Pauline and David, proprietors of Villasfor2, exceeded our expectations. As we do not speak Italian, they called restaurants to make dinner reservations and arranged for a private wine tasting at Castello Semivicoli, which was the highlight of our trip. David and Pauline accompanied us to the annual Casoli Festa honoring the town’s patron saints. We were privileged to witness a time honored tradition where local residents of all ages, dressed in traditional costumes, participated in a parade; the singing and dancing were great fun. After the parade, we bought fresh baked bread and slices of porketta to eat with the wine we sipped while sitting outside people watching. The local cuisine was prepared daily with fresh ingredients and was absolutely delicious. This is the Italy you will not see in the larger commercialized cities. The binder created by Pauline and David gave excellent ideas and directions for local day trips to a variety of places ranging from the Adriatic sea to the mountains, to castles, abbeys and museums and to wonderful restaurants and local town markets. Our jaunts took us over winding hilly roads through quaint towns, past vineyards lush with grapes and olive groves being harvested. While we worried about our inability to speak Italian, David assured us we would make out “just fine”. With language guidebook in hand and a true desire to converse, we communicated with Abruzzi locals who met us half way in our attempts.
In this relaxing couples only venue, we enjoyed an immaculately clean and restful haven. The modern shower was an appreciated plus as was the firm but comfortable bed appointed with a luxurious quilt and very comfortable pillows. While we often ate out, it was great to have a kitchen to prepare a meal or snack. English tea and espresso were available upon our arrival and topped off during our stay, making it feel more like a home away from home. A bottle of local wine and olive oil were provided the first day, and we were hooked from the moment we first tasted them.
Each morning we awoke in our bedroom loft to gaze out the picture window to an east facing view of a spectacular sunrise. Espresso and tea in hand, we sat on our patio overlooking the hillside and the view of the hillside town of Casoli, watching the sun complete its glorious rise. This was an utterly tranquil experience; the familiar noises from home were absent – airplanes overhead, motor vehicles, and so on. Interestingly, we never needed our daily allergy pill the entire length of our stay. On some late afternoons, siesta was followed savoring a glass of smooth local Montepulciano wine as we casually strolled through the well established olive grove. The landscape surrounding our Villa was lovely. Pauline and David maintained the authenticity of the countryside through the use of beautifully symmetrical pathways lined with local stone and native plantings attracting bees and butterflies.
On this nine day stay, we felt connected to the past and at rest from the busy pace of our lives yet we were never once bored. Villasfor2 is the perfect escape to rekindle romance, gain a sense of adventure and meet some wonderful people.

Had a lovely week here Sep 2013, very comfortable and stylish accommodation in a lovely setting with beautiful views over Italian countryside. Locally made metalwork bannister and stair to upper mezzanine level bedroom is spectacular.

Just returned from this lovely villa for 2 in Abruzzo. We’d booked based on the website and were very pleasantly surprised that the villas more than exceeded our expectations. Lovely, spacious and light and beautifully clean and well maintained. A lovely pool area with 6 sunbeds, 2 each for each villa with lots of space to spread out. The view is to die for. The villas are situated high up in the valley with views to the surrounding countryside and mountains. There’s a window high up which means you can lie in your bed in the spacious mezzanine area and look out into the lovely vista. David and Pauline are excellent hosts and work tirelessly and unobtrusively to make sure you get the very best from your stay. The in-villa booklet details lots of lovely places to try locally. We especially appreciated the 30 minute familiarisation drive that David took us on to show us all the local amenities. He also organised a local wine tasting for us, fantastic! A really great place and we’ll most certainly return. He even made sure I had a yoga mat for early morning yoga, brilliant!
Dora and Graeme, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Villa Acquaviva. 22 September 2013
We agree with all the other rave reviews of Villasfor2 and in addition would just say that this was a very classy holiday in an incredibly beautiful and peaceful location. We stayed in Acquaviva for two weeks and can confirm that David and Pauline take extremely good care of their guests and run a very professional business, available to give advice but ensuring that space and privacy are maintained. We appreciated the fact that good coffee, olive oil, tea, sugar etc are provided (and topped up after the first week) along with a bottle of local wine, beer and lemons. In addition there are all sorts of useful things in the villas, such as soap, washing liquid, bin bags, loo rolls etc (these are also topped up). After a week our bed linen was changed and we received fresh towels, including beach towels.
We swam daily in a pool cleaned to perfection every morning. The poolside sun loungers were of very good quality and there are incredible views every way you look. We were very impressed with the sensitively planted wildlife garden, attracting lots of bees and butterflies and the scents were wonderful.
This is a super place to unwind. Being in Abruzzo in September was a joy, walking in the mountains, swimming in the warm sea and lazing on lovely quiet beaches. We liked shopping for food to cook in the well equipped villa but it was also great to visit some of the restaurants recommended by David as well as finding our own.
Overall we heartily recommend Villasfor2.
Cathy and Bill. West Midlands, England. Villa Acquaviva. 8 Sep 2013
Neither photos nor description do Villas for 2 justice. This is a truly beautiful location with accommodation that is first class. David and Pauline are the perfect hosts, who are discretely ‘not there’ but yet are always available for advice on where to go how to get to the many wonderful sites to see in Abruzzo. Their advice truly made our holiday fantastic and for that we cannot thank them enough. We have been to Italy a number of times and loved every region we’ve been in. Abruzzo is the most southerly we’ve been and we were wary what it would be like. The region is just stunning, from 8000ft mountain top ski resorts to beautiful beaches and hill top towns it has everything. We do hope to return to Abruzzo and Villas for 2 will be top of the list to go back to.
Peter and Rose. Belfast, Northern Ireland. Villa Pesco Falcone. 7 Sep 2013.
We stayed at Villasfor2 in August and had the perfect, relaxing holiday we were hoping for. Abruzzo is very different to other parts of Italy we’ve visited in the past. The landscape is stunning, with interesting hilltop towns and villages dotted around. Our villa was lovely; even though intended for two, it was very spacious, beautifully equipped and well maintained. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a spotless holiday rental. The pool is also the nicest we’ve used. The owners, David and Pauline, couldn’t have been more helpful, directing us to the most interesting sights and offering help and advice whenever we needed it. We really enjoyed our holiday there and would highly recommend Vllasfor2.
Anne and Chris. Cheshire, England. Villa Acquaviva. 24 Aug 2013
If you are looking for more than you expected, look no further. The original description that is given for Villasfor2 is good but when you arrive your expections are tripled, it was the best holiday we have ever had. The pictures don’t do the place justice, it far exceeded what we hoped for. Stunning location, you cant beat the view, immaculate pool which frankly I don’t think you could choose a more beautiful setting, swimming along looking through olive groves whilst the swallows dip in the pool for a drink. Talking of birds, Red Kites each day to check you are swimming correctly and then flying off the minute you get your camera out, Golden Eagles, hawks, owls and much more. The villa was a delight and much bigger than we had anticipated, very comfortable and clean. Pauline & Davids help and attention to detail we couldn’t fault. You will have the most incredible stay. David gives you a guided tour so you can get your bearings around the beautiful quiet village, they were both so very kind and friendly. If you want a peaceful and reflective time this is the place to be. As well as fun and Italian atmosphere in the festivals and towns, there is so much to see and do. WE LOVED every minute of it. I hope you do choose a holiday here you will not be disappointed.
Andy and Jenn. Plymouth, Devon. Villa La Majelletta. 14 August 2013
We wanted to write to thank you both for helping us to have such a wonderful holiday at Villas For 2.The villa itself was perfect, the area beautiful and both you and Pauline were so kind and helpful.
We had a really fantastic time and are really grateful for everything you did for us in Italy. In fact, I told my parents what a great time we had, and they are thinking about booking for next year, so perhaps you will see them in the future!
P.S. We went to one of the Rome restaurants that you recommended and it was fantastic and far better value than many around it! So thank you for that also!
Annie and Ben, London. Villa Pesco Falcone. 12 August 2013
This was an excellent holiday in all regards – a beautiful location, a spotlessly clean villa and welcoming hosts in David and Pauline who always seemed to be at the right place at the right time – always there to help but not “crowd” in any way. We drank a lot of their excellent wine and prosecco, how could you not at their very generous prices, and enjoyed the home produced olive oil immensely. The pool was superb, only shared by diving swallows and our fellow two couples, as was the lounging area surrounded by lovely flowers and bushes and an olive grove to the other. Local restaurants catered for every pocket from a local bar/restaurant which really did offer a two course meal with wine and water for 10 euros a head (and good quality too) to a Michelin starred superb restaurant within 30 minutes drive. The coast is not everyone’s choice in August, but nevertheless there are lovely places to avoid the “sardine” effect again within an easy drive. Alternative trips include a variety of historic sights and the wonderful mountains. We’d definitely return.
Stephen and Rosie. London. Villa Acquaviva. 3 Aug 2013.
This was our second visit to the excellent Villas for 2. David and Pauline were again exceptional hosts and we tagged along when they went to a local festa and had an fantastic night with the local community, who welcome you with open arms. The villa, as last year was spotlessly clean and the salt water pool was a must with temperatures in the 40’s. This is an excellent and very comfortable base from which to explore the fantastic region of Abruzzo. We will be back for a third time, enough said!
Dean and Kaye. West Sussex, England. Villa La Majelletta. 2 Aug 2013
We were very well informed before we came here – and quite everything came up to our high expectations. The location is very quiet with wonderful views of the rural and mountain scenery around – a region very unknown to most of the tourists in Italy but it’s extremly interesting and authentic and never overcrowded with people. We liked the pool very much and the whole setting – and the villa itself is very well maintained and offers you really everything you need. We discovered many terrific places and had excellent meals and wines in the different trattorias and restaurants in the abruzzo region. Compared to the touristic places in Tuscany or Umbria (or elsewhere north) food and drinks are really very cheap and we very never diappointed. The regions offers you cultural and natural sights – from the seaside to quite high mountain scenery, castles, abbeys, old villages….
We appreciated our stay at Villas for2 in the abruzzo very much- and he have been to Italy very often in the last thirty years. The week we spent there was great holidays!
Wolfgang and Christina, Vienna, Austria.. Villa Acquaviva. 27 July 2013
This was our first visit to Abruzzo and we weren’t disappointed. The scenery is stunning around Villas for 2.
The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The attention to detail welcome, having cold drinks and coffee waiting as well as more mundane things like washing up liquid was very useful as dashing off to find a supermarket open late on Saturday afternoon could be a trial. That said, David took us on a brief tour of the area and pointed out the nearest ATM, supermarket, restaurant etc, which saved a lot of time since the location is rural.
The pool area is very pretty and an easy place to while away a sunny afternoon with a good book.
We left Villas for 2, with directions for our next destination provided by David, feeling thoroughly relaxed.
Elaine and Peter. Cardiff, Wales. Villa La Majelletta. 27 July 2013
For the first time ever, I did not want to come home!! The Villa itself was absolutely delightful, it was just the right size and contained absolutely everything we needed. The location was truly lovely and to say the view was stunning under sells it. We arrived Saturday late evening, during the afternoon David called to check on our progress and to make sure all was well. On the Sunday morning we were taken on a tour of the local area, showing the important places like the best bread shop, cake shop, supermarket etc. This in itself saved us hours during our holiday because from day 1 we knew where to find all the essentials. In the Villa was a pack containing information on the local area and places to visit, with comments and directions and I would recommend to anybody to take a little time to read through because the information was invaluable. During our stay David booked restaurants for us, found information for us on everything we wanted to do, lent us maps and information and generally made sure we had everything we needed. David and Pauline were wonderful hosts, they really could not do enough for us.
The Abruzzo region is fantastic, within half an hour of the Villa you can be on a beautiful beach or up the top of a mountain, the location is so peaceful, the only noise pollution was from the birds or the crickets. The pool was perfect and so welcome when we came home late afternoon and just wanted to relax and read for a couple of hours. Locally there were so many lovely eating places with everything available from Pizza to gourmet dining.
I would recommend Villas for 2 to any couple who want to enjoy a taste of real Italy and I can’t thank Pauline and David enough for such a wonderful holiday.
Leigh and Mick. Surrey, England. Villa Acquaviva. 13 July 2013
For years I have been trying to find rentals in Italy for two people. There are loads of hotel rooms, loads of big villas at vast expense but very few options for couples. And then I found VillasFor2 through Google and it was perfect for us. Everything is exactly as promised on their website and the things we appreciated most were:
The three Villas are all in a converted barn. The building is good quality, everything about the place is good. The design is clever, making the most of the lovely countryside views, and the furniture is good quality and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the welcoming touches of coffee/tea, oil, loo rolls etc are unusual in self catering properties. The standard of cleanliness is very high indeed, with a very nice bathroom. Towels and sheets are again good quality and were changed for us after a week as were stayed a fortnight.
The Pool is fabulous, with no chlorine, and was at least 80degrees F all the time we were there. It’s beautifully clean, has comfortable loungers and umbrellas and has the sun right through the day.
Local restaurants are recommended by David and we found them to be exactly as he promised, with superb quality for what seems to us very reasonable costs compared with other parts of Italy.
We cooked a lot on this holiday as the food was so lovely from the local shops, particularly the fruit and vegetables, the cakes and the Abruzzo bread which is made from the same wheat as the pasta. The local cake shop is wonderful, an assortment of cakes on a little gold tray, wrapped beautifully to take away is like a very special treat.
The broadband speed is good and I liked the fact that it worked in the villa but not at the pool so you could always get away from work emails.
Our hosts were welcoming and took great trouble to see that we all had what we needed at all times. But when we were settled in and happily finding our way round they left us along to enjoy the peace and quiet of their lovely place.

We have just spent 2 very lazy weeks at Villasfor2. Our hosts David and Pauline were exceptionally helpful from our initial enquiry right through to our warm welcome and then our reluctant goodbye. The villa was very clean and comfortable and the house wine (always available for purchase) was delicious. David’s tour of the local area on our first day and pointers about where to buy food, get cash and eat out made everything easy. The view from our villa was stunning and the immaculate pool and terrace area made it a delight to just relax. This isn’t a touristy area at all but all the locals we did meet were also friendly and very patient with our lack of Italian !
Jan and Dennis. Hertfordshire, England. Villa La Majelletta. 14 June 2013
Our villa was very well equipped, absolutely everything you could want, right down to bags for life to shop with. The home grown olive oil, coffee and wine supplied in the villa were all excellent and gratefully received. Our villa was spacious and bright, it was a pleasure to come back to after a day out. The villa’s surroundings and silence are an easy temptation to chill out by the pool. Self catering is easy with a local supermarket 10 mins away and the quality of the fruit and veg is very good, you can taste the freshness. The area itself is delightful from towering mountains to quaint hilltop towns inhabited by very friendly people.
Nothing was too much trouble for the owners Dave and Pauline, they have a good knowledge of the local area and recommendations. Their personal touches and friendly approach made us feel like invited guests. We loved everything about our week and left very reluctantly.

What a stroke of luck. l found villasfor2 by internet search and booked 5 nights. l wanted to check out the area with a view to locating there myself. As it turned out the weather was dreadful: cold and wet, but David and Pauline made sure l was warm in my villa and provided kindness and support way beyond the normal remit of landlords. For example when l told David l couldn’t say what time l would arrive because l hadn’t dared to drive in Europe since being badly injured in a car accident 13 years ago, although l hadn’t been driving at the time, he volunteered to meet me at the airport so l could follow him in my hire car to the villas thereby giving me a chance to get used to driving on the right without having to worry about finding the way. He also went to great pains to give me typed instructions about the return journey to the airport.
The villas themselves are spotlessly clean, well equipped and when l was there enhanced by the smell of flowering jasmine just outside the entrance. The views are spectacular. l wish l could say l sunbathed by and swam in the pool but mother nature put paid to that!

Abruzzo is a road less travelled, at least for non-Italians, and as a consequence self catering accommodation for two is very difficult to find – hence Villas for 2. The website accurately describes the accommodation but doesn’t really convey how nicely furnished they are (and how they are immaculately maintained) nor the helpfulness and friendliness of the hosts. As a bonus there is a lovely pool and views from each of the terraces. Got to agree with all the other reviewers).
On Abruzzo, it’s a mix of stunning mountain scenery, historic towns and castles (over a 1000) and with the coast close by. It is less geared up to tourism than its neighbouring provinces but none the worse for that. Casoli is an ideal base to reach the Abruzzo highlights (with scenic drives in every direction). To make the most of your stay, we recommend buying the book “The History and Art Guide to Abruzzo” edited by Latini (it was available on Amazon August 2013) – it knocks spots off the other guides to the regions and will inspire you with its list of over 1000 castles and numerous historic places.
The villas provide an opportunity to experience more normal Italian life, certainly more than you are likely to get in Tuscany. Your host kindly does a quick tour round the area on arrival – this was fantastic given you are in such a rural area. He guides you to the local facilities (which otherwise would be impossible to find) including a dairy/cheese farm (amazing freshly made butter, watched the ricotta being made and brought it home warm), a local shop to get fresh bread, local wine shop (though your hosts have an excellent selection of local wines for sale) and an eclectic but great small local supermarket. What a delight to cook in true Italian style with local produce (and wine) and eat sitting on the terrace, as the sun fades over the valley, watching and listening to the sounds and sights of rural Italy, followed by a stroll down the lane from the house admiring the views across the valley (and watching the fireflies), trying in broken Italian to chat with the locals – perfect.
Mind you if you don’t want to self-cater in there were several good restaurants (at various prices) within a 10 minute drive, and one great restaurant – Villa Maielle. This is an unprepossessing building which we would have driven past had our hosts not recommended it. Anyway, out the back is a terrace with lovely views where they serve Michelin-starred standard food at very reasonable prices in a nice relaxed and casual atmosphere. Not to be missed.
The place, the locality and Abruzzo – all comes highly recommended.

We found that David and Pauline offered something very special at their villas. The beauty combined with the peace of the location is outstanding and their ambient presence helps take any hassle out of time spent at the villas. They know their local food and wine, so all that’s left is to learn to relax. We had just a wonderful time, Fiona and I will certainly visit again
Nick and Fiona, Hampshire, England. Villa Acquaviva, 20 Nov 2012
Our third trip out to Villasfor2 and we will certainly be back for a fourth! This time we went right at the end of October, when it was cold wet and windy in the UK, to be greeted by 25+ degrees, pleasant sunshine and blue skies in Abruzzo.
We went for some fantastic walks, both straight from the villa (yes hilly, but a good pair of walking shoes will suffice!) and further afield along mapped out walks around the lovely surrounding countryside. We got to watch the olive harvest on our doorstep too!
As always the villas were immaculate and David and Pauline could not have put themselves out more to ensure that our stay was as perfect as it could have been.
Thank you, once again, for a lovely holiday.
Louise and Matthew, Surrey, England. Villa La Majelletta, 31 Oct 2012
Gerne wieder !

I have read some of the reviews and I “ditto” all the good things that have been said about the villas. We spent 5 days at Villasfor2 and I can’t say enough good things about our hosts David & Pauline and the villas. If you are looking for a perfect place for two then look no more – this is the place for you. The beautiful villas are light, bright and nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was equipped with all the basic utensils and coffee, tea, some beers, a bottle of water, salt & pepper, olive oil and a bottle of locally produced wine to get us started. The pool is outstanding and maintained daily and the views are incredible. Before our arrival David had sent us very detailed directions from Rome Airport to their place (including tips on how to use the toll booths on the autostrada) which were extremely helpful. When we arrived David met us in the car park and took us to our villa. In the villa was a binder with all kinds of information on towns, markets, restaurants and more. After settling in David took us on a tour of the surrounding area to show us the closest supermarket (so we could buy some groceries), gas station, bank and several good restaurants.
There are some delightful hilltop towns to wander around and drives into the mountains. The beaches and the Adriatic are a short drive from the villas.
All in all we had a fabulous vacation and David & Pauline were the perfect hosts. I would recommend Villasfor2 to anyone. Trust me you will not be disappointed !
Valerie and Walter, Orlando, Florida, USA. Villa Acquaviva. 6 October 2012
This was a wonderfully relaxing break and exceeded our hopes and expectations. David and Pauline were very helpful in accommodating us in the available time we had – sadly only four nights. The level of organisation and consideration they showed was fantastic – from detailed instructions on how to reach the villa, to the thoughtful suggestion of where we could pick up breakfast for the morning following our late night arrival (all emailed to us prior to our flight), to driving us around on a guided tour of the locale to point out where the local services, bars, shops etc where. Having said that, their hospitality was never intrusive, but if you had any questions or needed any help they were close by. The villa was spotlessly clean and very well equipped, the bed was lovely and comfy and the complimentary local beers in the fridge were a nice touch after our late drive from the airport (as was the local wine and olive oil). Do keep the flyscreen down in the evening tho’ as the mossies and midges seem to have a voracious appetite! We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility of the place and found it fabulous to unwind and “de-stress”. We really couldn’t have wished for better. We had some terrifically good weather for the first two days (and made good use of the pool) but even when it got a little stormy and we had rain, it was snug and cosy just sitting in the villa, with the doors open, reading and watching the mountainous vista change with the weather as it came up the valley below. If you want a lovely place to getaway from the hustle and bustle, yet still be within 30mins drive of the coast or the Alpine-esque Majella National Park, then this is a perfect place to come. Our only regret was that we only had four nights here – something we hope to remedy in the not too distant future by returning for a longer stay. Thank you David and Pauline for such a lovely time.
Steve and Jane, Hertfordshire, England. Villa Pesco Falcone, 14 September 2012
Afra and Ton, Oosterhout, Netherlands. Villa Acquaviva. 12 September 2012
Nico and Wilhelmina, Nijmegen, Netherlands. Villa Pesco Falcone, 6 September 2012
Having viewed all of the previous comments I can heartily concur with the praise heaped upon these villas.
The listing description couldn’t do justice to the reality which was delightful in every way. The location is remote which ensured a tranquil setting for lazing around the pool and yet was within a short driving distance to numerous restaurants for evening meals (or even breakfast). David (the host) provided detailed instructions and advice on a large range of restaurants from cheap and cheerful to Michelin starred establishments, a large number of which we tried.
There are some delightful hilltop towns to wander around and drives into the mountains where further access is available by chair lift at times.
We stayed for two weeks and found plenty to do and would definitely recommend it to others.
One point worth emphasising is that Pauline and David are so helpful if needed but melt away if not and a very clever balance is struck.
Keith and Christine. Hampshire, England. Villa Acquaviva. 25 August 2012
We had a lovely time here with two weeks of uninterrupted sunshine. David and Pauline keep their villas immaculately clean and the pool area is just beautiful with its stunning view over the valley. We found plenty to do using the excellent guide to the local area in our villa which was very helpful. David was a mine of information on opening times and how to get to everywhere we wanted to visit and Pauline very kindly lent me her iron and ironing board to do some ironing. The setting of the villas was incredibly peaceful so we slept well and came away feeling very rested. Local eateries kept us well fed with a good range of offerings from pizza to more sophisticated cuisine and the local supermarkets were reasonably priced so we could stock up on cheap beer and food for breakfast and lunch. All in all we had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday here. As we were flying home from Rome we drove down to Tivoli and the Villa D’Este on our penultimate day which worked very well and allowed us to shop in Rome and have one night in a favourite haunt before flying home in the afternoon. This made a wonderful end to a great holiday.
Christine and Vincent. Kent, England. Villa Pesco Falcone. 13 August 2012
We have recently returned from a two week stay and what struck me over and over again is that this holiday is exactly as described on the excellent Villasfor2 website. We were delighted with the villa, which has been very thoughtfully designed and furnished and which really is just perfect for two people. We found the bed very comfortable, especially for my husband who has had real back problems on other trips, and there was plenty of drawer and hanging space. We cooked for ourselves at least half the time and found the kitchen well equipped and perfectly adequate for preparing quite decent meals. All washed down of course with some excellent wine from the highly recommended wine bar! It has been said many times already by other reviewers, but what really does make a difference is the local knowledge and helpfulness of David and Pauline. We ate at some marvellous places – a memorable lunch at Villa Maiella for our anniversary, and the best starters we have ever had at Ai Vecchi Sapori in Lanciano – highly recommend both! David provides very detailed directions for getting to pretty much all the places you are likely to want to go to. We never got lost on the way, but didn’t always get it perfect coming back! The pool area is exquisite – plenty of room even if all three couples are there, very high quality loungers, and the pool itself is just gorgeous. It was surrounded by the most lovely flowers while we were there. I never got tired of just floating around and enjoying the amazing views out over the hills. We flew into Rome and found the journey to Abruzzo extremely easy. It does take just over three hours, but it’s a very easy motorway for all but the last 20 minutes or so. Unfortunately for us, our luggage didn’t make it to Rome on the same flight as we did so we turned up late on a Saturday night with only what we stood up in. By then David had already had a phone call from the airline to say our luggage would arrive on Tuesday, so he knew his new visitors might not be quite as cheerful as usual! We were hugely grateful to both David and Pauline for doing everything they could to help us – producing some toiletries to see us through, taking us to shops the next day to get some clothes and then staying in on Tuesday to be there when the luggage arrived. I think that says it all really. Villasfor2 gave us a taste of the real Italy, combined with excellent customer service and high quality accommodation. A big thank you from both of us!
Annette and Keith, Coventry, England. Villa La Majelletta. 4 August 2012
We spent two wonderful weeks at Villas For 2 in 2011 and rebooked for 2012 whilst we were there, something we have never done before. The villa is beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and fitted to the highest standard. David and Pauline are welcoming and were excellent hosts and are great company. Their discrete and friendly approach reassures those first-time visitors are well-informed. They use their extensive knowledge of Abruzzo to ensure that all visitors’ needs are catered for. The pool is outstanding and is maintained daily. The view from the pool is panoramic and one never tires of looking out across the unspoilt countryside. Getting about is straightforward, although David offers excellent directions to a whole host of places across the region. This year we revisited the mountains, where the surreal experience of visiting a ski resort in July (37 degrees) is a must, as is a day trip to the amazing Tivoli Gardens. The coast is within a short drive. We ate out a lot this year and there is a great choice of places to dine, ranging from ‘fuel stops’ to fine dining. If your desire is a totally stress-free holiday, save yourself a load of web surfing and book yourself a week or (preferably 2) here. The locals are lovely and the whole ambience oozes great quality. We shall certainly return to this fantastic place to visit David and Pauline, whom we regard as friends!
David and Lynda, Nottinghamshire, England. Villa Acquaviva, 10 Aug 2012
We had a very pleasant stay at Villas for 2. The beautiful villas are light, bright and nicely decorated. And – above all – spotless clean! Like we said to each other: even if it is raining or cold, it’s not a punishment to sit inside! The kitchen is equipped with all basic utensils and coffee, some beers, a bottle of water, salt & pepper etc. to get you started. In the villa you find a map full with information on towns, markets, restaurants and more. It saves you a lot of time finding the best restaurants in he area! And then the outside. The view from the terrace and pool over the hills and the Majella Mountains is terrific. A car is necessary to explore the region. And why would you not? Ok, staying at a sun bed near the pool is very tempting, but Abruzzo has more to offer. The region is unspoiled, beautiful and people are friendly and welcoming. Especially when you try to speak a couple of words in Italian. With Villasfor2 as our home base we visited nearby villages like Altino (with an little authentic fresh pasta-shop with ravioli at € 14,- a kilo: a real bargain!), Casoli and Guardiagrele, the beach and sea near Fossacesia Marina. A bit further you find the beautiful scenery of the Nature Reserve park of Punto Arderci and the city of Vasto. We want to highlight two things we did: having dinner at a traditional Trabocco (Pesce Palombo) and a daytrip from Termoli to the Isole Tremiti. Both highly enjoyable experiences! Concluding; we had a very, very good time at Villas for 2. An amazing spot, perfectly hosted by Pauline and David!
Niels and Jose, Groningen, Netherlands. Villa Acquaviva, 8 July 2012
Our holiday could not have started any better. Thanks to David’s (the owner) perfectly written driving instructions from Pescara airport southwards to the beautiful Val di Sango, we reached Villas for 2 quite relaxed. Despite our late arrival (we had a late evening flight) David greeted us cheerfully like long awaited friends and showed us the way to our Villa. From the private sun terrace with chairs, table and sunbrella, we entered into a lovely living area equipped with comfy furniture, intimate lighting and a TV for watching DVDs. The adjacent kitchen and dining area has room for anything from a quick espresso in the morning to intimate dinner’s for two in the evening – you’ll just have to make them yourself though. The shower room is elegantly modern and the spacious bedroom area on the mezzanine floor takes full advantage of the double height space. As I said, it was unfortunately dark when we arrived so we missed out on the view (we just assumed there was one…) but of course that did not deter us from quickly settling in and to open the complimentary bottle of wine whilst watching the endless number of stars from the comfort of our terrace. Oh – what’s that noise? Owls, crickets and other ‘hot-summer’s-night-noises’ make a wonderful background soundtrack to the dance of the glowworms… I know, I know – but it’s true! The next morning, braced with a strong espresso and a croissant (or better ‘cornetto’ as they say in Italy), we stepped out of the Villa just to be greeted by the sunlit landscape of the rolling Abruzzo hills – it was picture perfect. So perfect indeed that we decided to spend the day by the pool and not to drive around to see the numerous sites that David and Pauline, amongst other noteworthy things, so meticulously listed in their info brochure laid out in the Villa. The following day had been reserved for the beach which is only a short drive away. The pebble beach was fine but there’s a sandy beach only 10 minutes further – we were just too lazy to drive and could not wait to get into the water. Back at the Villa later we made a nice dinner and had a little more (ehem…) of that lovely red wine. Villas for 2 is the perfect place to be for couples who want to get away, discover the wonderful Abruzzo landscape, or simply enjoy a ‘grown-up’ holiday! A big thank you to David and Pauline! We can’t wait until next time.

Like many people, I’d struggled to find a cost-effective villa holiday for 2 in Italy. I’d tried Tuscany and Umbria but found them to be overbooked and overpriced. Then I came across Villasfor2, and from the moment I got in touch with David about organising a romantic break for me and my girlfriend it couldn’t have gone more smoothly. He talked me through the best flights to get, which airport to fly to and provided detailed directions and guidance to get to the villas (including tips on where to get a bite to eat and how to use the toll booths on the autostrada!). this was extremely helpful considering that we arrived quite late on a Friday night and had to navigate in the dark on strange roads. He then greeted us with a torch to help guide us to our villa once we arrived. It was too dark for us to appreciate the stunning views on the night of our arrival but in the morning we opened our door to be greeted with brilliant sunshine and a picture-perfect view of rolling hills and distant mountain ranges – bliss! David gave us a tour in his car to help us get our bearings – supermarkets, bars, restaurants etc (although we mostly took advantage of the local produce and perfectly equipped kitchen to cook our own food). And when we mentioned that we hadn’t been able to find any garlic in the local supermarket, Pauline (David’s wife) brought some down to us from their own supplies! The villa itself was spotlessly clean, the bed very comfortable and welcome pack of supplies (including excellent olive oil and a bottle of locally produced wine) was a great touch. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and David and Pauline were the perfect hosts. I’d recommend villasfor2 to anyone (and in fact I already have!).

Piet & Paula, Nijmegen, Netherlands. Villa Pesco Falcone, 15 June 2012
What can I say that has not been said already ? Very clean modern open plan villas set in a fantastic location. Very secluded so a car is essential. Shops, bars, bank, fuel and restaurants are all within a few miles drive. The view from the patio outside the villa is fantastic and It was so relaxing in the evening just to enjoy a good bottle of wine and watch the changing colours of the scenery as the sun set. This is beautiful unspoilt part of Italy, there are very few tourist maps and hardly anyone speaks English but don’t let this deter you. David and Pauline (the owners) are always on hand to point you in the right direction, they are very knowledgeable about the area. They recommended some fantastic places to eat where the staff despite the language barrier were incredibly helpful. We will be back ASAP so what better recommendation can there be ?
Dean & Kaye, West Sussex, England. Villa La Majelletta, 15 Jun 2012
A haven of peace and tranquility amidst a background of snowcapped mountains, green valleys and olive groves. VF2 offers an escape from the fast lane and time to reflect on the beauty of the countryside and a slower pace of life. The villas were spotlessly clean and spacious, the grounds are beautifully landscaped with lavender bushes adding to the fragrant atmosphere. We relaxed at the poolside with a good book and the company of the swifts dipping and diving into the water. We watched the changing light on the hillsides and the cloud gather over the snow capped mountains which are within easy reach from the Villas. We ate at the local restaurants like Lu Piccione where Paolo made us feel so welcome, and Bucaniere where we ate 2 courses plus wine for €10 each! Here you can get a coffee for less than £1! This is a great change from tourist Italy. We appreciated David’s extensive local knowledge, advice and enthusiasm to ensure his guests have the best holiday possible.

My wife and I spent a week at Villasfor2 staying in Acquaviva. David and Pauline were fantastic throughout the week and were on hand whenever we needed guidance on getting around, shopping or eating out. We spent most of the time by the pool just relaxing and the views are absolutely breath-taking. The pictures do not do the views justice! The property was very clean and very well maintained and I would highly recommend this property to any couple who just want to get away for some relaxing chill out time at a stunning location. Local restaurants and bars are crazily cheap. My wife and I had a two course meal at the Bucaniere with wine and Peroni beer that came to €20 for both of us. I would highly recommend the Piccione restaurant too that David and Pauline will book for you. We will definitely be going back to Villasfor2!
Chris & Helen, West Sussex, England. Villa Acquaviva, 2 Jun 2012
This is our second stay at Villasfor2 with our fabulous hosts, David and Pauline. We love staying here. The Villas are set in the beautiful rolling hills of Abruzzo among olive groves and wine vines with snow capped mountains looming in the distance. David takes impeccable care of you from arrival to departure. The Villas are beautifully done with all you need to make yourself at home. The well fitted kitchen allows for meals at home, though you might wish to eat often in the local delicious restaurants. There are suggestions with reviews listed in the unit, along with other information on things to see and places to visit. The pool area invites you to relax in the sun. David is organized and efficient, providing excellent customer service. He and Pauline have truly created a peaceful haven for your stay. Their warm hospitality makes us want to hurry back!
Kurt & Lauren, Seattle, USA. Villa La Majelletta. 1 Jun 2012
Yes it looks wonderful on the website doesn’t it? But what you can’t experience on a flat screen is the smell of blossom wafting up from the valley after a rainstorm, the sound of absolutely nothing – except birdsong, the sight of a fly past across the olive trees by returning swallows and the fruity rich taste of your complementary bottle of olive after you’ve doused your pasta in it. Whats not to love? The villa was spotless and well equipped with fantastic local information and help and it was great to be given the tour on arrival. David and Pauline were friendly helpful hosts who ensured that our week in this little paradise was utterly without stress. if you want the world to stop for a while then come here, take some deep breaths and relax! The wine is pretty amazing too!!
Jane & Gavin, Birmingham, England. Villa La Majelletta. 14 Apr 2012
Our second visit ! The first thing to mention is the breathtaking views on arrival …. and we were no less take with the villas themselves once inside.
The attention to detail, the cleanliness and the little extras provided were just perfect, making it feel home from home within an hour of arrival.
The pool area was gorgeous, overlooking the olive groves and the surrounding hills, it felt as if we were sitting in our own little haven of peace and tranquility.
David and Pauline, the owners, couldn’t have been more helpful, even down the the excellent directions from the airport which even gave us tips on how to avoid the car hire queues – which worked! They had an infinite knowledge of the local area and what to see and what not to see and were happy to share this with us. They knew and helped us book some excellent restaurants, and even invited us to join them at their local village festa.
All in all it was a lovely holiday and one I’d definitely repeat. Again ! Thank you!

Well, perhaps the best comment I can make is that my husband and I have been married for 13 years and this is the first holiday destination we have ever returned to… I think that probably says it all really. This is our second visit and we were not disappointed! We love Abruzzo, the people, the food, the countryside – it’s all lovely. The villa is clean, in excellent condition and fitted with all those little extras you really appreciate – like a bottle of wine on your arrival! David and Pauline are fab hosts who really can’t do enough to make your stay just as you like it! The surrounding area is quite untouched by tourism making it a delightful place to discover and we enjoyed returning to places we went last year and visiting new ones. We have in the past and will continue to regularly recommend this holiday to friends and family. Thanks to David and Pauline for all their efforts! You are stars!
Katie & Phil, Warwickshire, England. Villa Acquaviva, 28 August 2011
Both having extremely busy jobs and lives, my partner and I needed a complete rest and we certainly had this. The villas are just as they are described with everything required for a perfect stay, even down to the umbrella and re-usable shopping bag. The villa was very comfortable and the welcome package including chilled wine and beer was just what we wanted after a hot drive. David and Pauline could not have been more friendly and helpful. David has a very comprehensive knowledge of things to do in the area and good, detailed instructions of how to get there; superb restaurants and festivals within easy reach. We shall definately be back next year to sit on the terrace in the silence, drinking wine and looking at the stars. An excellent holiday choice.
Victoria & Enrico, Yorkshire, England. Villa Pesco Falcone, 24 August 2011
Gerard & Loes, Westzaan, Netherlands. Villa La Majelletta, 20 August 2011
On arrival at the villa our first impressions well exceeded our already very high expectations. David and Pauline greeted us in a most friendly manner and showed us to our villa. The ‘guided tour’ was professional and yet friendly and as a result we very confidently settled in and unpacked. Within half an hour we were enjoying a glass of Abruzzo vino rosso by the pool and the holiday had started. The villa is extremely well appointed and was finished to the highest standards, including the excellent shower room and mezzanine bedroom, the view from which is outstanding (Our first morning greeted us with a wonderful rosy dawn over the distant mountains).
The terrace is lovely and provided a great place for lunch and eating out at night. We balanced eating in with meals out at some of the lovely ristoranti in the locality. There is really something for every taste and, as the area is not touristically developed, the quality is outstanding and the prices very reasonable (two courses and a litre of vino rosso was approx 30 euros for 2).
David and Pauline offer discrete support in terms of information, directions to places and bookings for restaurants.
The peace and quiet is exquisite and it is possible to while away the hours watching the kites who nest in the nearby trees or the golden eagles that soar high above the ground. The gentle breeze ensures that the temperature does not rise to stifling levels.
The pool is lovely and provides a great opportunity to cool down. Given that there is a maximum of six people around the pool the setting is idyllic.
We have never returned to a place but the fact that we rebooked whilst on our holiday serves as a testament to our views of this fantastic place where the batteries can be fully recharged in this lovely part of this wonderful country.
David & Lynda, Nottinghamshire, England. Villa Acquaviva, 13 August 2011
Vriendelijke ontvangst.
Albert & Tina, Zoetermeer, Netherlands. Villa Pesco Falcone, 23 July 2011
Just had a fantastic week. The villas are absolutely spotless and the views are to die for. The peace & quiet was heaven.
David was most helpful in everything even getting us some chilly powder we 4got for our pasta we cooked and ate while overlooking the fantastic views. If you want a great holiday then this is the place to come.
Pat & Dominic, Suffolk, England. Villa La Majelletta, 6 July 2011
The property is in a beautiful hillside location with great views all around. The immediate area is very quiet – a perfect place for anyone looking for a peaceful, restful holiday.
The swimming pool is in an idyllic position. Bird lovers would delight in watching alpine swifts swooping over the pool and drinking the water, and red kites circling overhead.
Overall we were delighted with our holiday at Villasfor2 and we will most certainly visit again at some point in the future. We will also recommend the property to our friends.
Ray & Hazel. Gloucestershire, England. Villa Pesco Falcone, 25 June 2011
Joop & Inge, Schoonoord, Netherlands. Villa La Majelletta, 18 Jun 2011
We’d watched the videos on the Villasfor2 website before out arrival and thought we had a pretty good idea of what to expect, but as it turned out, the reality is even better.
No photos or videos can do justice to the views. Away to your left is the sea; to your right, the mountains and in between are incredible far-reaching vistas. Sitting outside our villa in the late afternoon with a cool glass of wine just taking it all in became a major pleasure.
Our villa itself was very clean and comfortable, perfect for two and well-appointed with lots of nice little touches like wine on our arrival, plenty of books and all the basic necessities like tea, coffee and sugar.
Although we mostly ate in our villa, when we did eat out, we found it extremely good value. Couldn’t even begin to spell the name of the pizzeria recommended by our hosts David and Pauline, but that was great, as were the local bar at lunchtime and Paulo’s restaurant nearby. David and Pauline were endlessly helpful with suggestions, directions and bookings for wherever we wanted to go.
And the jewel in the crown was the pool, with excellent sunbeds and umbrellas and again those fantastic views.
We couldn’t fault any aspect of our stay here and if you’re looking for peace and quiet, a great location and comfortable surroundings for your holiday, you’ll love it here too !
Anna & Colin. West Sussex, England. Villa Pesco Falcone, 12 Jun 2011
We could not imagine what we would find when we came to Abruzzo, but dream the Italian dream and pinch yourself – this is exactly what we found! The Villas are superbly situated with the most magnificent views, and the pool is perfectly placed.
We couldn’t fault the Villa, which had everything we needed for a simple lifestyle – corkscrew, fridge, wine glasses, patio with umbrella – and the bed was very comfortable! Everything was in excellent order, and anything that went awry was dealt with promptly.
David and Pauline are excellent hosts, always ready with recommendations and directions, booking restaurants for us, and suggesting trips out, but not at all intrusive. You do need a car here though as nothing is within walking distance.
The local people are a delight, and despite our lack of Italian and their lack of English, we managed to communicate with the friendly locals.
We explored the local hilltop towns and surrounding areas nearly every day, and came back in the evenings to chill out! There are no sounds besides the birds, and bees, and that is how we like things – quiet! The fact that there are only three Villas and therefore no more than six people staying at any one time, and no children are allowed, was exactly what drew us to stay here in the first place.
We had a wonderful holiday and would recommend this area for anyone wanting to find the real Italy, but the steep garden and the stairs make it unsuitable for disabled people.
Norm & Carol. Dorset, England. Villa La Majelletta, 21 May 2011
Warm aanbevolen!
Shintai. Antwerp, Belgium. Villa Pesco Falcone. 28 Feb 2011
There is a saying ‘It does what it says on the tin…’ this far exceeds anything the brochure says. Beautiful setting, clean, lovely villa perfectly furnished and equipped, and Hosts for which nothing is too much trouble. Information so clear and concise that even I could understand it! Don’t bother looking for any other wine than that obtained from David and Pauline! In fact, don’t even bother looking for any other villa – you won’t find better.
We’d highly recommend this to any couple looking for peace, beauty, good food and breathtaking scenery. Words cannot adequately describe this place – just try it for yourselves. We’ll be back!!!!
Annie & Phil. Chester, England. Villa Acquaviva, 14 Jan 2011
Stephan & Marije. Rotterdam, Netherlands. Villa Pesco Falcone, 10 Oct 2010
We very much enjoyed our stay at villasfor2 everything lived up to expectations the views are spectacular and the villa was first class with everything you require for a selfcatering break.
Hugh & Janet, Middlesex, England. Villa Acquaviva, 25 Sep 2010*****
You’ve created a haven of peace and tranquillity which restores the soul. I will have no hesitation in recommending Villas for 2 to friends and family and know that they will have an equally wonderful time. The Abruzzo region of Italy has so much to offer in the way of great scenery, excellent walking, interesting historic sites, brilliant shopping in the larger towns such as Pescara and fabulous restaurants at great prices… I don’t think we will ever tire of it.
The villas offer everything you need and more for a self catering holiday with great quality fixtures, fittings and furnishings… welcoming touches such as wine, basil and lemons. David & Pauline really have thought of everything, they check in discreetly to ensure your having a great holiday offering hints, tips, directions and sharing their local knowledge…they have obviously worked very hard creating the right balance for a perfect getaway and we are so glad they did!
Please can we come again…
Tracey & Neil, Lancashire, England. Villa Pesco Falcone, 17 Sep 2010
What a great experience! We stayed at these lovely villas for a week and we could not have been happier. Although it was a little difficult to find, once found it was a wonderful part of paradise. David and Pauline were helpful beyond normal with reservations, directions, and just about anything we requested. If you travel to this part of Abruzzo you have to stop at the villas for a stay.
Bob and Julie, Florida, USA. Villa Acquaviva, 15 Sep 2010
We were looking for a quiet, relaxing break and Villa Pesco Falcone gave us exactly that, very well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay.
The view from the terrace is a joy to behold and so very peaceful.
The pool is clean and a refreshing distraction from the sunshine.
David and Pauline are great hosts and we found their information and communication second to none. They are always available to offer help, book restaurants or give directions. They have an extensive knowledge of the local area and are able to give accurate, honest information regarding local sights etc.
Abruzzo is ‘typically Italian’ and has a lot to offer, the Adriatic one way, the mountains the other – there is so much to see if you so desire or just laze by the pool watching the red kites soaring on the thermals -wonderful!
We would not hesitate in recommending Villa Pesco Falcone to others.
We will be back.
Jane and Peter, Hertfordshire, England. Villa Pesco Falcone, 4 Sep 2010
A pleasurable stay for 5 nights whilst touring the Abruzzo region. Villas for 2 are conveniently located close to picturesque Casoli and the Majella mountains.
Our hosts David and Pauline ensured a stressless arrival by supplying clear guidance notes on how to find Villas for 2, a welcome pack and personal meet and greeting. Assistance was always on hand with local information and any other needs during our stay.
The light and airy apartment with mezzanine bedroom was tastefully decorated and furnished, with a very comfortable bed and quality shower room fittings. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the olive groves with Casoli beyond, and cooling swims in the well serviced swimming pool will remain fond memories until our next visit. Thanks to David and Pauline for making our visit to Abruzzo so enjoyable.
Phil and Deborah, Cornwall, England. Villa La Majelletta, 26 Aug 2010
What an amazing holiday. Everything was truly wonderful – the location, the villa, the people, climate, food and wine. It was a perfect getaway. The villas are beautifully kept, clean and very comfortable with all the little extras that enable you to rest in the villa, cook there if you want to and enjoy total relaxation. We are already missing the most stunning views of the mountains from the villa and of course the views that surround you when you take a dip in the delightful pool which is so refreshing after a day in the hot sun. It is truly breath-taking. The owners, David and Pauline are great! They have managed to balance privacy and great care of their guests perfectly as we were made to feel really special as well as enjoying our own space. Thank you both for your kindness and dedication. It is brilliant to be able to learn more about the area you are staying and gain insider tips on the best places to eat or where to visit. Nothing is too much trouble for David and Pauline.
The location is wonderful – the peace and quiet is just indescribable and yet just a short drive away you can encounter a busy, bustling market in any number of quaint towns and villages. We were even fortunate enough to experience a travelling band of ornately dressed musicians marching through a local village as we enjoyed an espresso. There really is something to suit everyone. If you like tranquility, you’ll find it here. If you would like a taste of authentic Italy, you’ll find it here. The area is barely touched by tourism which means eating out is extremely reasonable too. A delicious coffee and croissants for 2 in the morning usually came to less than 4 euros and a meal out in the evening with wine usually cost about 30 euros (for 2). If you are more of an active type the area is surrounded by mountains so you have your choice of climbing and then of course there are caves to be explored and lakes with water sports. For me, I just enjoyed the whole experience of this delightful culture – trying to speak some Italian with the ever-patient locals or supping on some delightful local red wine while watching the world go by
We will definitely be recommending the villas to friends and family (in fact we already have!) and will we be coming back? Well, I’ve already been looking at when we might next be able to get away. We were truly overwhelmed and loved everything about these gorgeous villas. A fantastic holiday!
Katie and Phil, Warwickshire, England. Villa La Majelletta, 21 Aug 2010
Four days at Villasfor2 was a bit like having a sip of a very fine wine – it left us instantly wanting more. Waking up to the breath taking views was the best start to every day. It was simply idyllic. We have never stayed anywhere more relaxing – it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop!
The villas were impeccably clean and finished to a very high standard. David and Pauline had clearly put a lot of thought into the little extras, so we had no need to leave the villa for the first 24hours! Am quite proud that we broke the record for being the fastest openers of the fine Pecorino wine that they presented with 🙂 The pool and sunshine were just delicious and for the first time in our lives, we didn’t think or worry about work.
David and Pauline were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, from recommending and booking restaurants (now got to figure out how to lose the pizza weight I gained – but well worth it!) to finding out where we could watch our beloved football team on the television! I have already recommended the experience to several friends – and we only got back last night! Without a doubt, we envisage ourselves making it our regular holiday destination.
Amelia and Andrew, Manchester, England. Villa Acquaviva, 19 Aug 2010
A month before our holiday I was very pleased to receive a pack of information from them which not only gave directions to the villa in great detail, but tips on driving in Italy, where to pick up supplies nearby, and other helpful hints and reminders. Having never driven in Italy before, these helped a lot.
On the subject of driving I can certainly recommend the Garmin system for this location, it was a big help. Combined with David’s directions and a backup map we managed extensive exploration of the local area!
Rather than repeat the glowing reports of the clean and tidy villa, lovely pool and so on, I will simply say that I concur.
When we wanted to book restaurant tables, David kindly made reservations for us, even checking with them that they could cater for specific dietary requirements. Whenever we needed advice on an aspect of our stay, whether it was shopping or days out exploring, David and Pauline were very approachable and helped us immensely.
We visited places and saw things we would have found it very difficult to unearth were it not for them. If you want a taste of Italy in its ‘unspoilt’ state, you’ll be in the right place.
Will you be the next guests to be on top of the Majella before 7am?
We were expecting our holiday to be great, but it wasn’t, it was excellent!
Thank you David and Pauline. Chin chin!
Tom and Sara, Northumberland, England. Villa Acquaviva, 14 Aug 2010
We can thoroughly recommend Villas for 2 as a relaxing, peaceful location for couples looking for somewhere off the beaten track and well away from tourist resorts and crowds.
After a reassuring chat with David, prior to our booking, we were emailed detailed directions and helpful hints before our arrival. Inside each villa a most useful welcome book has been complied, which includes useful instructions and places to visit. David and Pauline are perfect hosts, friendly and welcoming and are on hand to give directions and recommend or book restaurants.
The villas are most comfortable, well maintained and extremely well equipped, including thoughtful touches like an umbrella, torch, plasters and a selection of books. The terrace area offers amazing views of the surrounding countryside where you can sit back with a bottle of wine and enjoy opportunities to observe the local wildlife. The pool area is delightful, peaceful and private and well looked after. What more could you want? The photographs and information on the web site say it all!
Thank you David and Pauline for a most enjoyable stay and for making us feel so welcome
Jackie and Ian, Essex, England. Villa Pesco Falcone, 7 Aug 2010
Loes and Erwin, Lelystad, Netherlands. Villa La Majelletta, 3 Aug 2010
Jan, Eindhoven, Netherlands. Villa Acquaviva, 31 Jul 2010
Just arrived back in the UK from the most relaxing holiday ever. The views from the pool and your very own terrace are absolutely superb – the photos don’t lie. The weather was fantastic, with sunny blue skies every day.
Even though the other two villas were full for part of the time of our holiday, you never felt overcrowded around the pool as there plenty of space for the sun lounges, and most days because everyone did their own thing there was maybe only few hours when all six of us was around the pool.
The owners David and Pauline live in the next property, which is extremely helpful for directions and suggestions for the days activities. Their knowledge of the area is second to none, with every restaurant they suggested being superb and extremely welcoming.
Took a trip up to the mountains, about 50 minute drive along a road with the most superb views. When we got up there we were treated to alpine countryside and gorgeous views. A truly fantastic day.
We also took a day trip to Rome, which David and Pauline organised including booking the coach and informing of us where to get on the bus and what we would expect. They took all the stresses away not just from this trip but from the whole holiday.
My girlfriend and I would suggest this Abruzzo holiday to anyone who wants to relax, explore, and enjoy the true Italian culture!
Phil and Katharine, Newcastle, England. Villa Acquaviva, 14 Jul 2010
A good “getaway from it all” haven on a hillside between the mountains and the coast. Good to unwind and chill out. Rustic charm – swimming pool amongst the olive trees,( oil in the kitchen) plenty of space with good sunbeds and umbrellas for all. Clean well equipped air conditioned accommodation with beds on gallery level. Patio for lunch or early evening drink whilst you gaze over the valley and decide which of the recommended restaurants to try. The Ghiottone and Paolo’s lived up to their reputation with great food and friendly hosts. You will need a car to find these, reach the local shop and explore the area. David and Pauline, who live on site have put a lot of effort into making the holiday experience easy right from the booking stage to the tips on travel and the car hire desk plus the very welcome bottles of wine, and beer after a late flight arrival and plenty of information on restaurants you would never know or find as well as how to get the most out of the area whether it is for lazy days or ventures further afield. Abruzzo has a natural charm far removed from the tourist trail. Enjoy.
Lesley and JP, Oxfordshire, England. Villa La Majelletta, 10 Jul 2010
If you are looking for a place to stay surrounded by beautiful countryside, a fantastic pool with a view, bright comfortable accommodation, obliging informative hosts then this is the place for you.
We have traveled a fair bit around Italy and I think this area of Abruzzo is the nicest area we have been to. Traveling through the hills every time you turn a corner you want to stop a take a photo.
The villages and the food and wine are just so ‘Italian’, tourism hasn’t really caught up with this area and that’s the charm of the place.
If you want a truly relaxing Italian experience, go and stay with David and Pauline at Villasfor2, we will be back without hesitation.
Michael and Maureen, Hertfordshire, England. Villa Pesco Falcone, 10 Jul 2010
Froukje and Jurjen. Amsterdam, Netherlands. Vllla Pesco Falcone, 3 Jul 2010
If you are looking for peace and tranquility, this is the place to go! We are just home from a totally relaxing holiday which was much needed. David and Pauline are perfect hosts who will go above and beyond their duty to help you have an amazing holiday. David’s directions to and from airports (Rome, in our case) and local towns and restaurants are invaluable. Their recommendations were superb and you will be surprised how cheap the local restaurants are. It is untouched by tourism and everyone is extremely friendly (a special mention to Paolo who has a beautiful restaurant!). All your needs are catered for and it is very difficult to tear yourself away from the patio, the views are spectacular! Although a car is essential, it really is not difficult to access local shops, mountains and beaches. A fantastic lifestyle, can’t wait to return! Wish we were there!!!
Christine and Andrew, Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland. Villa La Majelletta, 2 Jul 2010
After having decided to go on holiday in the Abruzzo area we started looking on internet and we came across this place. We wrote an inquiry email and few hours later the booking was made!
We had a wonderful relaxing holiday. The house was practical and clean. The views and the swimming pool were great. David and Pauline were a great help to us in giving us advise to discover the region and the restaurants! We will certainly be back whenever we want to spend another relaxing gourmet holiday…
Kevin and Linda, Strombeek-Bever, Belgium. Villa La Majelletta, 22 Jun 2010
My wife and I, and another couple, enjoyed 4 nights at the lovely Villasfor2, as the other couple was researching their “roots”. David and Pauline were amazingly friendly, helpful and instructive. Perfect for hosts to visitors unsure of the language and the location.
Each day was special as the small towns, wonderful restaurants and local sights were tackled one by one. And through it all, as a refuge from the activity was the perfectly peaceful patio at our Villa. From there, you could see much of the Abruzzo countryside with unobstructed views. We also used the fully stocked kitchen to make two dinners so we could sit on the patio and enjoy the lovely evenings with our friends. We felt we were in a private estate in the Italian Hills!
We totally enjoyed our stay at Villasfor2 and highly recommend it to anyone travelling to or through the Abruzzo region. Make sure to follow the restaurant suggestions that David and Pauline have in their well written booklet of everything to do in the area. Or just chat with them…as they are perfectly available and willing to help.
Thank you to David and Pauline for making our trip so memorable!
Gary and Peggy. Granite Bay, CA, USA. Villa Pesco Falcone, 20 Jun 2010
Believe the reviews that say David and Pauline have it right at VillasFor2…it is a lovely villa, in a delightful location – everything clean and welcoming, just right after a journey from the UK. Wine and beer to welcome the weary travellers, and excellent “pre-arrival” instructions and helpful hints. The “welcome book” is filled with helpful hints, clear directions and instructions (do your shopping at Scrizz – the ladies sing while stacking shelves!) Filling our days relaxing by the pool, and wandering the lane at night listening to crickets and watching fireflies…just magic. We didn’t want to leave, and have already started planning our next adventure in Abruzzo. Thank you, David and Pauline!!!
Debbie and Brian. Carmarthenshire, Wales. Villa Pesco Falcone, 16 Jun 2010
Ruud and Saskia, Vlijmen, Netherlands. Villa Acquaviva, 10 Jun 2010
The Villa was simply furnished and immaculate with wonderful views over the beautiful pool set amidst the olive groves. The Adriatic coast was about 1/2 hours drive, and the surrounding mountains (snow capped at the time of our visit in mid May) provided some inspiring drives, and a wealth of beautiful flowers including orchids, gentians etc. Mass tourism has passed the area by, and the many little hill towns and villages were quiet and charming. The owners were unfailingly helpful in providing any local information required.
Mike and Liz, Kent, England. Villa Aquaviva, 18 May 2010
Our original dates were cancelled due to the ash cloud problems and VillasFor2 were very understanding and accommodating in assisting us to rebook at no extra cost.
The web site description of our Villa was spot on, we found it clean, bright and furnished to a high standard. Everything we needed was on hand and good quality.
David and Pauline were excellent hosts, always available if needed and virtually invisable when not. Their local knowledge of the area and restaurants enhanced our stay immensely.
We would have no hesitation in returning to VillasFor2 again should we find ourselves in Abruzzo once more.
Whether you are looking for peace and quiet or a base to explore the beautiful Abruzzo region VillasFor 2 fits the bill.

A wonderful stay in a really beautiful part of Italy. The villa had an exceptional view across rolling hills of vineyards and olive groves, while the villa itself was beautifully simple and well laid out.
David and Pauline couldn’t have been more helpful from the directions to ideas for days out and booking tables at local restaurants. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

Like the previous contributors, we too were looking at property in this part of Abruzzo during our stay. For the time of year, weather was fantastic. We were here four days and had warm sunshine throughout, though it was chilly at night and we were glad our villa had central heating. We both thought our villa was first class. Perfect for two, very comfortable, well furnished and equipped, and spotlessly clean. Very much liked the fact that things like tea and coffee are all part of the package. Saves buying stuff you’ll only use a little of during your stay. Ate out a couple of times at places recommended by owners David and Pauline which were both very good (fantastic pizza !) and our other two nights stayed in and borrowed some DVDs. The pool area looked very inviting – hope we can come back sometime and try it out !

We stayed here for three nights on a trip to look at Abruzzo property. Our villa was delightful – clean and comfortable and the central heating worked extremely well. As other people have remarked, the views are truly spectacular. But not exactly the time of year to use the pool though ! Owners David and Pauline were most helpful with inside info on local property market and we must also mention a local restaurant called La Cena, where we had a really great meal on our last night. Hope to come back when it’s warmer !

The villas were very comfortable. I don’t know when we’ll be back in Casoli, but we would return to stay with you.

We spent part of our honeymoon at Villasfor2 and were blown away by the views. Admiring the sweeping scenery of tiny villages twinkling under the moonlight over a bottle of local vino and waking to postcard views of the mountains is a wonderful way to watch the world go by. We took a picnic to Gessopalena – highly recommended – and really enjoyed to whole adventure of being ‘off the beaten path’. Be sure to have dinner at La Cena – fantastic food. David & Pauline are very warm and give you lots of great info on the area and how to get around. The lofts are perfect for two people, modern but with rustic charm. And the olive oil in the villa is from the trees on the property! Thanks so much for the unforgettable experience.

We spent an idyllic week at Villas for 2 with David and Pauline in mid September 09. Right from the start David and Pauline were there to help – we were pre-warned about all Ryan-Air’s ‘little extras’ and the hints on how to get to the front of the car-hire desk were spot on! Excellent directions were given from the airport and indeed for everywhere we went all week – my husband and I didn’t argue once about the map-reading! The Villas themselves are delightful and David and Pauline’s attention to detail in order to make our stay as comfortable, easy and stress free as possible was second to none. Being a tea addict I was especially impressed by the supply of English tea-bags, not to mention the bottle of wine of course!
The swimming pool is perfectly placed, being surrounded on three sides by rural Italy and real olive groves, the oil from which is supplied in the villas. You could hear a pin drop for the most part so it was a truly relaxing environment to be in.
The whole area is truly lovely, people are very welcoming, the food is great and its not expensive to eat out. The scenery and views are stunning and the countryside unspoilt, we hardly saw another car on the road all week ….. we will most definitely be back next year!

We spent four days in villa Pesco Falcone and our break was relaxing from start to finish. David made sure we had excellent driving instructions to get to the villa and we did not get lost once. The villa is situated well off the beaten track with stunning views over the olive clad hills in which it is set and the dramatic mountains beyond. Throughout our stay David and Pauline were both so friendly and helpful, suggesting days out for us and making sure we were well looked after, but never in an interfering way. It was great knowing we could ask for directions and suggestions if we needed them. The temptation was to stay and sit by the pool enjoying the view by day and eating on our terrace of an evening, but the hospitality we received at a local restaurant suggested by David and Pauline prompted us to return there on our last night. The views from the villa are amazing and you could hear a pin drop it is so peaceful. The villa itself was wonderful, very well equipped with lovely homely touches. The region of Abruzzo is a wonderful place and is so quiet and unspoilt.
Thank you so much David and Pauline for such a wonderful holiday, we will definitely be back.

Thank you for a delightful stay. Your Villasfor2 enterprise is wonderful and Abruzzo is absolutely beautiful. We wish you the best of luck and hope you remember your ‘first Americans’!

This was our first visit to Abruzzo and we weren’t disappointed. If you are looking for somewhere away from the crowds this is it. A beautiful setting with spectacular views set amongst olive groves.
The villa was very well appointed and we appreciated the ground coffee and other little touches. A lovely swimming pool and David and Pauline were always helpful and gave us lots of tips about the area and even printed out individual directions to help us negotiate the windy roads to get us to our destination.
We are keen walkers and tried several of the well known trails of differing lengths and difficulty from coastal paths to mountain peaks of the Majella National Park.

Whilst searching the internet for a last minute, much needed break, we came across Villasfor2 by chance and the set up appeared to be exactly what were looking for – we were not disappointed!
David was extremely helpful when we phoned to book (looking to arrive some 4 days later) and the result was that within about an hour and a half we were all booked and ready to go. David emailed excellent information about our arrival; Pescara airport and the route to the house, all serving to make the start of our holiday go very smoothly.
We stayed for a week in La Majelletta which we found to be a little haven – the house is extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Sitting on the terrace for breakfast, lunch, evening meal or late night glass of Montepulciano is a lovely experience and the views breathtaking. The pool and poolside area are also well planned and lovingly looked after – the little canopies on the loungers are super allowing comfortable shading for reading.
David and Pauline were really helpful but totally unintrusive – always happy to provide advice about places to go and this advice was followed up with a typed up route and helpful information – no holiday arguments about maps being wrong this time!! Abruzzo is a stunningly lovely province with friendly people and good, reasonably priced food!
We had a lovely holiday and would go back to Villasfor2 tomorrow —- so that says it all really.
Bob and Mary, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. Villa La Majelletta, 14 Sep 2009
We spent a very enjoyable week in the Villa Aquaviva in early September. The villa was clean and bright, well equipped and thoughtfully stocked with coffee, a bottle of wine etc. Best of all, it had a fantastic view.
Hosts David and Pauline were very friendly and always on hand (but never intrusive), and were endlessly helpful with directions and local info.
There were plenty of interesting towns and sights nearby to explore and we enjoyed the accessibility of the Majella National Park with its fantastic mountain views. In all honesty though it took a lot to tear us away from the peace of the pool overlooking the hillside, especially in the brilliantly sunny weather.
Thanks for such a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

If you are looking for a romantic place for 2 or even going with other couples you could not wish to find a more idyllic setting.
The driving instructions to get to our villa were absolutely fantastic and for once we did not get lost.
Our hosts who live on site could not have been more helpful – places to visit, places to eat and they booked our restaurant as well as giving us detailed directions, places to shop and things to do. The swimming pool was gorgeous and always clean and beautifully kept.
The villa is perfect for 2, well equipped, spotlessly clean and well maintained, and the air conditioning made the hot days and evenings a pleasure. Even beach towels were provided which was great especially if travelling with limited suitcase space.
Our trips out to the seaside and mountains were delightful and all with fantastic driving instructions from our host.
Our host informed us about local events happening in the evenings with firework displays and indeed the two that we attended were absolutely spectacular.
So, if you are looking for a place to rest, relax, read, swim, sunbathe and be on your own then look no further. Villas for 2 was great. Thank you so much to David and Pauline who helped make our holiday so enjoyable.

We are a couple from Florence,Italy, and we spent a week on august 2009 at Villa La Majelletta. The villa is pretty, new, clean, fully equipped, really very cozy. The swimming pool is very well maintained (very clean) and with a wonderful view. David and Pauline are welcoming and caring hosts and attentive to the needs of their guests. We had a great time at La Majelletta and we look forward to coming back again to visit other places of this wonderful region.
