Our second visit to Villasfor2 and it was just as good as the first. The Villa was spotless and very comfortable. David and Pauline once again gave us great recommendations and are excellent hosts. The pool and views were lovely. We were lucky enough to experience the village Festa which was great fun and ended with a magnificent firework display. Highly recommended and we will be back.

A lovely set of 3 villas set in the beautiful mountains, rounded off with a pool and 2 great hosts in David and Pauline, nothing was too much trouble for them in helping with any information you might need in local restaurants and shops. Had a wonderful time and will return. Thanks again !

The villa we stayed in is part of a three-villa complex for couples only (no children noise then). Immediately recognizable as a non-Italian property when you step inside, with British quality of plumbing and better-than-average level of comfort. The main joys are outside: view of the hills so spectacular you can just sit there and watch this like you watch a painting, and the same you do from a spacious pool, framed by decorative shrubs and olive trees and opening to Abruzzo mountains. I find little that can be improved in the property itself – the internet was on a slow side but then again we had untypically high demands (it was a two week working holiday and we kept sending large files backwards and forwards), otherwise it was just perfect every step of the way. If we were to stay for a month or longer perhaps we would have wanted a washer and a dishwasher, but there are constraints of space. The hosts were head and shoulders above any expe.ctations that you may have: from volunteering to book our restaurants (there is a mind-blowing Michelin star one within 15 minutes drive in Guardiagrele) to helping us with anything we needed and accompanying us to an exotic red pepper festival not far way (!!!), and with the owner offering a little tour to show a few notable restaurants, best fresh pasta store, a pharmacy and such like. The file that they keep in the room offers a wealth of information and I encourage you to read it. We are no strangers to Italy, but this was an extraordinary experience and superbly thought-through holiday. If David and Pauline were to set up anywhere else in the world, I would go there in a heartbeat.

I was looking for a villa holiday that had a pool and not too many rooms. This was perfect for us. David and Pauline were the perfect hosts. There when you needed guidance but not intrusive. Having the pool as well was a real bonus. We did the drive from Rome in no more than 3.5 hrs, following the instructions, and it was an easy drive. Would definitely return. A perfect way to really get away from it all.

We have just spent another two weeks in one of the most beautiful places! A warm and inviting pool nestles among the olive groves in this tranquil little spot. The accommodation is really comfortable with a walk in shower (with endless hot water) well equipped kitchen and air conditioning that keeps you cool on even the hottest of days ( or nights). David and Pauline welcomed us back with the most convivial reception and couldn’t do enough to help to ensure we enjoyed the very best possible experience. For those who wanted more there are plenty of places to visit, good walks,, really good eating places as well as magnificent scenery. and the beach is not far away. We came home refreshed, relaxed and already planning to return again next year.

If you’re looking for an unspoilt, untouristy piece of Italian rural life, look no further ! Lovely warm pool, air conditioned apartments, friendly hosts. Mountains and seaside accessible and easy to reach. Quick and easy trip from Pescara airport. Great relaxing break.

A quiet place to stay with excellent hosts. The accommodation and facilities have been very well designed and are set in superb landscapes of hilltop villages, rolling fields and majestic mountains. You have to be prepared to take windy roads and rough surfaces in your stride but there are fantastic hill walks and historic villages to see in all directions. The weather can be mixed but we enjoyed that as well as the pool. An excellent week away for us.

From our meeting with David (en route after midnight following a delayed flight) until our reluctant departure , kindly extended by several hours, this was a wonderful holiday. The marvelous location in a beautiful area of Italy, almost unknown to tourism; the delightful and imaginative accommodation, clean and comfortable ; owners for whom nothing was too much trouble; the friendly and helpful Abruzzi; a superb pool…..not to mention the fascinating villages, majestic mountains, and abundance of good food and drink….. David and Pauline, thank you for a magical week. Well worth a ten star rating!

This was our first foray into the countryside of Abruzzo and we couldn’t have been more impressed! The views from David & Pauline’s fabulous Villasfor2 are simply stunning. We were met by David after our drive from Umbria and shown to Pesco Falcone – our home from home for the next few days! There was a bottle of lovely local Pecorino wine chilling in the fridge for us and a few other thoughtful goodies. The villa was very well appointed and I loved the mezzanine floor for the bedroom with the big window so that you could wake up to those magnificent views! With a wardrobe and drawers, there was plenty of room to put our things away. Each villa has it’s own patio looking out over the Abruzzese countryside – with hedges of fragrant jasmine, honeysuckle and rambling roses. We *just* missed out on the pool opening, but that looked very tempting, and we will certainly be back to lounge around the pool! David and Pauline are wonderful hosts – David took us for a spin to orientate ourselves with the immediate area – where the supermarket, bakers etc were and pointing the way to great restaurants! They are always ready with advice and recommendations, but also mindful of your privacy if needed. I have to say that the 3 recommendations David gave us – all in the useful guest book – were all fantastic. We had the chance to eat at a Michelin starred restaurant not far from the villas and it was an amazing experience! It was the perfect break for us and all thanks to David and Pauline for making it just right! We will be back! (Threat or promise – you choose, David!)

Aanrader

We arrived in a downpour, after dark to be met by David with an umbrella to shelter is all the way to the villa. It was not until the following morning that we could see the real glory of Villas for 2, the wonderful panoramic views of the Abruzzo landscape, sun on olive trees, hilltop towns and the snowcapped mountains. Each morning, we sat outside on the terrace enjoying the warmth of the spring sunshine with our coffee, before venturing out to explore the area. The villa itself was comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. David and Pauline are friendly and accommodating hosts, supplying excellent wine, brilliant directions, advice and travel tips for their guests. Abruzzo is beautiful, from the Adriatic to the mountains, unspoilt and quiet. A lovely few days, refreshing for body and soul.
