Villas In Abruzzo, Italy
Whether it’s a lazy week or two in the sun – or a romantic getaway – our three Abruzzo villas are the perfect setting for your Italy holiday.
Each is named after a mountain peak in the nearby Majella National Park and each shares:
– a tranquil, choice location
– what one of our guests has called “the best views in Abruzzo”
– a sparkling pool set on its own spacious, south-facing terrace with sunbeds and umbrellas.
Abruzzo Villas – Traditional Style With Modern Comforts
Our three airy, split-level villas have been faithfully rebuilt from a 19th century barn and each opens out onto a broad, south-facing sun terrace.
Within the original framework of this barn, each villa is identical in terms of size, layout and amenities, (so none is ‘better’ than the other two), and shares the same wonderful views. Each has its own entrance and private area on the sun terrace with table, chairs and shady umbrella.
The villas retain their heritage through careful attention to typical Abruzzo styling.
Outside are cream-coloured walls and dark green shutters, all under customary decorative brickwork and big, curved terracotta roof-tiles.
Inside are white walls; locally-made, decorative ironwork; and cool tiled floors.
And though the styling is traditional, the comforts are decidedly modern. Each of our Abruzzo villas provides:
– a clean, modern, tiled bathroom with WC, bidet, sink and walk-in shower
– a comprehensively-equipped kitchen with fridge, full-size oven and four-burner gas hob
– air-conditioning and central-heating included in the price
– free wireless internet access
Abruzzo Villas – Upstairs, Downstairs & Outside
With 6 metres – nearly 20 feet – of open space from the tiled floor to the reclaimed 100 year-old chestnut-wood beam running the length of the ceiling apex, your villa is cool, light and airy.
A wood and wrought-iron staircase leads to the galleried, wood-floored bedroom.
You’ve a choice of either a king-size double bed, or twin singles. We use only hypo-allergenic bedding material.
There’s a wardrobe with wooden hangers and a chest of drawers. Plenty of room for all your clothes and holiday bits-and-pieces
And for your valuables, a small personal safe
In your living area, there’s a comfortable sofa and an easy chair for you to relax.
You can browse through one of more than 30 good holiday-reading paperbacks you’ll find in each villa. Or choose a DVD from our library to watch on an LCD wide-screen.
For eating-in, there’s a proper dining table and chairs.
Big double doors, (with a full-length fly-screen for things that go buzz), lead from your villa onto a spacious south-facing sun terrace.
For al fresco eating, there’s your own personal space right outside your villa, with a wooden table, chairs and sun-umbrella.
Whether you’re grabbing a romantic getaway weekend, or a lengthier, lazier Italy holiday, it’s the perfect place to start each day with a cup of fresh coffee and end it with a nightcap. And everything in-between.
We have an absolute no-smoking policy, both inside our villas and in all outside areas of our property.
